In the 18th century, the textile trade, wrought iron, nail factory, arms industry, agriculture and mining all developed.

This tall stone cross has three dates on it: 1810, 1857 and a third one that is hard to decipher.

There is a very venerated pieta in this chapel.

When you are out strolling, you may see a number of castles (châteaux), private properties, but these are not open to the public.
