In the heart of the Ondaine valley (vallée de l’Ondaine) , the commune of Chambon-Feugerolles is situated at the foot of the Pilat Regional Nature Park.
Some history
In the 16th century, the cutlery industry was developed. The metallurgical industry appeared in the second half of the 19th century.

Situated on the hill of Poix, the view from here is unrestricted over the town and the Ondaine valley. The valley and Notre Dame de Cotatay
The valley used to be an industrial valley but today it is a much appreciated place to walk, in the heart of a green setting. It also has a replica of the cave in Lourdes which has become a place of pilgrimage.
