Situated on the hills of Jarez, Genilac has a display of orchards.


Some history
Genilac saw the day in 1973 following the merging of two communes in 1973 - Saint-Genis Terrenoire and La Cula.

The hunting reservoir
The vestiges of the Roman aqueduct of the Gier are visible from many different viewpoints. The hamlet of Leymieux especially conceals a rare vestige, the testimony of the savoir-faire of Roman engineers.

The chapel of La Cula
This religious building dates back to the 14th and 17th centuries, it has exposed stone and very simple architecture.
The bell is classifed in the Inventory of Historical Monuments



Suggestions for outings
There are three different paths to follow based on fruit: cherry, apple and pear. Follow these if you wish to discover the countryside of Genilac.

Swimming pool
This swimming pool has a 25 metre pool, a paddling pool and a small fun pool. The solarium is open during the summer season.
