Situated on the hills of Jarez, Genilac has a display of orchards.
Some history
Genilac saw the day in 1973 following the merging of two communes in 1973 - Saint-Genis Terrenoire and La Cula.

The vestiges of the Roman aqueduct of the Gier are visible from many different viewpoints. The hamlet of Leymieux especially conceals a rare vestige, the testimony of the savoir-faire of Roman engineers.

This religious building dates back to the 14th and 17th centuries, it has exposed stone and very simple architecture.

Swimming pool This swimming pool has a 25 metre pool, a paddling pool and a small fun pool. The solarium is open during the summer season.
